Same expedition worthy all-weather protection, better for the planet
The completely redesigned Men’s Shralpinist GORE-TEX ePE jacket and bibs are made with 100% recycled 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE C-Knit fabric.
This new fabric is an Oeko-Tex® and Bluesign® certified fabric membrane made of a microporous material called expanded polyethylene (ePE). The membrane has billions of tiny holes in it that allow vapors (sweat) to pass through, but not water droplets (rain and snow). The membrane has a lower carbon footprint than previous GORE membranes and is made without PFAS. The ePE membrane solves the issue of using forever chemicals that collect indefinitely in the environment in technical waterproof breathable fabrics.
GORE-TEX C-KNIT ePE is lighter, stronger and more packable than most technical fabrics because it’s made with an extremely fine circular knit fabric backer that gives the fabric a soft and quiet feel. This new fabric offers the perfect balance of comfort and protection for splitboarding and it meets all of GORE’s industry leading “Guaranteed To Keep You Dry” waterproofing and durability standards.
Starting with our 2024/25 collection, all of our outerwear fabrics and DWR treatments are made without PFOA/PFAS.

The Re-Up and Ultra Re-Up Recycled Jackets are made with down-proof nylon and insulated with 750-fill down that’s upcycled from sleeping bags and jackets. The Dark Start Recycled Jacket is made with 4-way stretch polyester and synthetic fill Air Flake insulation that makes it perfect for high output adventures.

We believe there is a better way.
A better way to manufacture apparel so that it does less harm, and lasts longer. A better way to protect yourself from nature's wrath without sacrificing comfort, mobility and breathability. And a better way to get more versatility out of fewer pieces, to design clothing that adapts to nature's moods.
This design ethos is what drives the creation of Jones outerwear. To do things differently, and bring new winter apparel concepts to the world that blend comfort, performance and responsibility with a fit perfect for moving fast in the mountains. Every piece in the collection is purposefully designed to be extremely functional so you can focus on chasing summits and riding dream lines.
Fabrics made without PFAS
Starting with our 2025 collection, all of our outerwear and apparel fabrics are made without PFOA/PFAS and we use only PFC-Free DWR treatments. PFOA, PFAS and PFC are chemicals known to accumulate in the environment.
Socially responsible factories
All our outerwear and apparel production facilities are Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)
or Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certified. These certifications guarantee that the people who make our apparel receive
fair salaries and work in safe and clean working environments.
Oeko-Tex® and/or Bluesign® certified mills
All of our fabrics come from Oeko-Tex and/or bluesign certified mills. Oeko-Tex and bluesign textiles and fabrics are certified to be free of harmful chemicals and safe for human use.
All of our outerwear and technical apparel is built using recycled fabrics
Most are 100% recycled. Using recycled fabrics helps keep waste out of the landfill and reduces our need for virgin materials.
Recycled Down
We only use ultra high performance 100% recycled 750 fill power down that is upcycled from sleeping bags and jackets. Recycled down keeps materials out of the landfill and helps support the growing down recycling network.
