The Jones Surf Series is our collection of surf inspired unisex snowboards designed by renowned surfboard shaper Chris Christenson. Every model in the collection is a unique shape that rides differently, yet they all offer effortless glide and unmatched turn performance thanks to rocker profiles and 3D base contours inspired by Christenson’s fastest gliding surfboard shapes.
Shaped by Chris Christenson
The 2025 Surf Series continues a design partnership with Christenson that began in 2012 with the debut of the original Mountain Surfer. Based in Encinitas and Mammoth, California, Christenson is both a lifelong surfer and snowboarder. His company, Christenson Surfboards, makes everything from contest boards to longboards and record breaking big wave guns for some of the best surfers in the world.
Christenson’s Surf Series board designs reflect design elements from his surfboards that he adapts into hand shaped prototype board templates made out of thin pieces of wood. He shapes the outline and rocker profiles of the wood templates using the same tools he uses to shape surfboards.
2025 Surf Series update
Resin art by Nainoa Speier offers a fresh look
Eye catching would be an understatement for the 2025 Surf Series! Every model in the series now features a trippy resin dye graphic designed by Nainoa (Nai) Speier, an artist from San Diego who designs resin art for Christenson Surfboards. Nai made each of the original resin art designs on a surfboard using traditional techniques. The surfboard graphics were then digitally scanned and the scans were transformed into snowboard graphics.

All new, completely redesigned Storm Chaser
After nine seasons with only minor tweaks to the shape, Christenson has completely redrawn the shape and profile of the Storm Chaser for 2025. The new shape stays compact and high volume with a big 3D nose and wide waist width, but it now features a Surf Camber profile with rocker in the nose and camber from the front foot through the tail for better edge hold. The 3D base contours have also been eliminated in the tail to maximize turn power and float. The Storm Chaser will remain one of the premiere pow boards in the Jones line as it’s designed for the deepest days.
