Avalanche rescue steps
Scene size up - Is it safe to rescue?
Pick a rescue leader.
Switch beacon to search mode.
Start beacon search.
Zig-zag beacon search.
Locate beacon within two meters - begin probe search.
Strike at 90°.
When probe strike, start shoveling.
Begin digging 1.5 times the burial depth downhill from the probe strike. Extract victim carefully.
