About Pica

Where is your favorite place to snowboard and why?

My favorite place to snowboard is my backyard. From steep mountains at the top to playful forests at the bottom, the Mont Blanc range is a never ending playground. And riding at home really limits my carbon footprint. Otherwise, once in a while I like riding in Pakistan. People are really friendly and the mountains are just amazingly big and beautiful there!

What has snowboarding or the mountains taught you?

The mountains have always been part of my life. They definitely taught me to be humble, but also brought me a life purpose.

Snowboarding came a bit later, but it became my main connection to the mountains.

Tell us about one incredible or influential snowboarding achievement or moment.

I have had a ton of great moments as a snowboarder, from riding first descents in the Alps or on unridden peaks in Pakistan. But when I realized that I could ride switch in the steeps, and on almost any kind of terrain, it really changed my vision of snowboarding and made riding so much more fun for me.

What are you passionate about besides snowboarding?

I love mountains and guiding and exploring wild places like Pakistan, but I also love spending time with my wife and kids!

Pica's favorite gear

Ultra Mountain Twin – 157

"This board is very versatile and responsive. I love riding pow on it because it floats pretty well and is really fun to ride switch. It's also a great board for carving on the slopes and riding the steeps as well!"

Mountain Twin Split – 157

"I love to be able to ride switch anytime, that is why the Mountain Twin split is my favorite splitboard. Playful in the pow and efficient in the steeps, it is an everyday splitboard!"

Mercury

"Comfortable, with good support and amazing response. All you need from a binding!"
