What was the highlight of your season?

Riding lots of deep pow, hitting some big airs, and getting on some lines I'd never ridden.

Where did you ride this year?

Squaw Valley, the PNW, Yellowstone Nat'l Park, and Nevada

Boards you used this year and for what conditions:

164 Solution/Flagship for most days, 156 Hovercraft for deep resort days.

Favorite board:

164 Solution

Did your board take you to a higher level at any point in the season?

Yes.  We had a fantastic time together, stomping some big airs and charging some lines.

Why do you snowboard?

To be outdoors, to go fast, to surf pow, to send airs, to get exercise, and because it's fun.

What is your goal in Snowboarding?

To be riding pow with my friends and family when I'm 50+.

How do you train for snowboarding?

Staying active: Mt. biking, surfing, and running

What will you do after snowboarding?

Depends on the day, but I always enjoy a couple beers after a good day snowboarding.

Why do you love to freeride?

There are lots of reasons, but mainly I enjoy being able to express myself through my riding.

What's your dream line look like?

Pow turns into spines, into some decent sized airs with steep landings, into some pillows, and a few wind lips mixed in in between.

When did your start splitboarding? Do splitboards work?  Has splitboarding changed snowboarding for you?

I started splitboarding in July of 2009 on a board I cut in half. They do in fact work!  I've ridden some of my gnarliest lines on my 164 Solution, and have the same confidence as I do on my Flagship.  Yes, it allows me to get deeper into the backcountry to find lines.
