What a night! The FURTHER world premiere at Squaw Valley on September 7th was an unbelievable celebration. Nearly three thousand people came out to see the movie and soak in the vibe of a starry Sierra night hanging out at the base of the KT-22 chair.
We hope you were there celebrating with us. There’s got to be at least a couple dozen of you Jones Snowboards fans in that crowd shot! It sure felt like friends and family were in the house. The man of the hour, Jeremy Jones, noticed as well.
“The energy here tonight is really special,” said Jeremy the night of the premiere. “It’s why we make these films – to get everyone together for a gathering of the tribe. What’s also cool is that we are on very hallowed ground standing at the base of KT. That lift has had such a huge impact on my life and the lives of many other people here tonight. It’s really, really special.”
You know what else was really special about the evening? We had a fat rack of 2013 Jones Snowboards on display!
It was truly a candy store of our 2013 lineup – including the new carbon board series.
The Carbon Flagship and KT-22 – a match made in heaven.
Checking out the new Jones lineup was but one of the attractions of the sponsor village however. Karakoram was also on hand showing their latest splitboard bindings.
Protect Our Winters had a big night as well, raising thousands of dollars for the fight against climate change through a stacked silent auction. One lucky bidder went home with this Hovercraft complete with NOW bindings
Just in case there wasn’t enough pre-premiere eye candy already, the Squaw Valley Air Force including JT Holmes jumped out of a plane and swooped in on the party.
Good thing spine riding shots match any decor. Quite a few lucky fans went home with some epic new wallpaper. Jeremy Jones and Forrest Shearer signed posters for kids of all ages.
It was an amazing night at Squaw Valley no question. Even the Tram Face got the royal treatment. But don’t stress if you didn’t make it. That wasn’t your last chance to catch FURTHER on the big screen. Check out the FURTHER tour page on tetongravity.com and look out for a showing near you soon.
